Proportional and Non Proportional Relationships - Chapter 1.4

Good evening Girls and Boys,
I believe that most of you have got the last lesson on Dimensional Analysis - converting units- and I believe this is the toughest concept in the book, so it is all smooth sailing from here!!! Yippppeeeee...
We are moving onward to Proportional and Non Proportional Relationships.  These words are fancy ways of saying equivalent fractions(ratios)! So to be proportional is to be equivalent or the same value.  Example: 2/3=4/6=6/9
To be non proportional means to be not equivalent or not the same value.  Example: 1/3  does not equal 1/2
And the third vocabulary term is Equivalent Ratios. These are really equivalent fractions = Equivalent Ratios= Proportional.
So hang on for some practice and ask questions if needed.
Homework: Read the blog, watch the videos, complete vocabulary, and take notes in your graphic organizer for Lesson 4 Proportional and Non Proportional Relationships.
Meet the little sleeping beauty, Roxie. She is 5 months old and is loved by Gabe. What a darling.
As always in MATH,
Mrs M
