Hi Girls and Boys,
Tonight we are embarking on a concept, rate of change, that is leading up to slope. In Algebra, slope is the supreme concept that you will be working on next year. So, pay attention and ask questions as this stuff is not going away, but rather we will be building on this a great deal of the time. Rate of change and constant rate of change are the vocabulary terms for this lesson. This means how fast does something change. In a line, we are looking at how steep is this line- so this is the constant rate of change. We will be working from tables and graphs to see how much the line changes- or how steep is this line. This is a bit tricky, so ask questions and feel free to do extra problems as practice if you feel shaky on this.
So this is Jonah's little sweetie. Don't let him fool you, he is a little stinker as he pees on furniture!!!!
Homework: Read the blog, watch the videos, take notes in your go and complete your vocabulary for RATE OF CHANGE - Lesson 7
As always in MATH,
Mrs M
